Howard Costers Celebrity Portraits

Howard Coster arrived in London in 1926, a self-styled “photographer of men, and took on a studio close to Fleet Street and Law Courts, for the next twenty years he photographed the most celebrated men (and women) of the day. From the mid-twenties to 1946, his work comprised a veritable Whos who – in literature, art, architecture, music, film and theatre.
